Filming Three

After looking through the shots we had previously filmed we realised we needed some better quality close up shots. This is when we decided to film again but using the camcorder in school. The location Hannah filmed in was a slightly wooded area on our school field. The equipment Hannah used was a camcorder and a tripod. as I have mentioned previous everyone in the group kept their individual tasks, Hannah was camera, Laura was director, Sally was sound and Me being assistant director.
We decided to start of with a close up shot of Kate's face as the previous shots we had taken didn't have the effect we wanted on a viewer. comparing the previous close up shots to the close up Hannah took during this filming period she did it a little bit close. This would capture Kate's expression easier. As the weather was extremely cold and to follow the continuity Kate had to wear a flowery dress and some sandals. Due to Kate being this cold her eyes were slightly watery and her facial expression was very stiff. I think this shot was perfect for showing Kate being scared and worried. We were all very pleased with this shot.
I then mentioned to everyone about having a close up shot of Kate's eye which would be very intense. we all agreed that it would be a good ideas, so then Hannah set up the tripod and camcorder in placed for an extreme close up shot of Kate's eye. You could only see Kate's eye and parts of her face. Laura directed Kate to loose around ferocious and have her eyes opened wide. This would emphasize the panic she would be feeling. As i mentioned previous the weather was very cold and during this shot also Kate's eyes were very watery and this also added to the intense of the shot. One thing that really stood out about this shot was the viens which would gross some of the viewers out. We were all really pleased with this shot and thought it would work really well with the rest of the shots we have.
