Film Magazine Front Cover Draft
This is my first draft of a magazine front cover. I think trying to recreate the horror thriller atmosphere that would be in the trailer and the film poster is a lot harder to create in a magazine front cover. It's hard to pick an image that represents the trailer in the right way as well as it not seeming to unrealistic.
An image that first came to mind when I thought about this film trailer as a magazine front cover is the young girl being alone with her dog. This is why I decided the main image to be the young girl having a scared expression on her face while she was holding her dog. The only problem with this is that the dog that we would be using in the trailer is quite an old dog so the actor we would be using wouldn't be able to pick the dog up like this.
I choose the Masthead of the magazine to be at the top as this is the convention for most magazine front cover. Having text and images surrounding the main image makes the girl seems claustrophobic and lonely. Structuring the text like this create the sort of atmosphere.
